MISSION:
Taupo district will be a predator free community by 2050.
PURPOSE:
To help our community free the Taupo district of New Zealand’s most damaging introduced predators by 2050.
HOW WE WORK:
We help groups install and manage predator reduction initiatives around the Taupo district. We also increase awareness and financial resources for these initiatives and recognise our supporters.
WHAT WE DO:
Our focus is to rid the Taupo district of New Zealand’s most damaging introduced predators.
Currently these are rats, stoats, weasels, and possums.
We do this by generating community awareness and supporting groups and individuals to install and maintain trapping lines. Support includes assistance with funding applications, training, an advocacy.
